The 22 items you need to pack for your next trip to Mexico

Written by Holly Johnson

The country of Mexico may be well-known for its array of all-inclusive resorts, but there’s a lot more to the travel landscape here than people realize. It’s also a popular destination for adventure travel, as well as somewhere to get lost and soak in the culture of places like Mexico City, Monterrey, Guadalajara and Oaxaca.

Plus, the country is also home to incredible Mayan ruins, cenotes and caves you can swim in, and a unique selection of adventure parks including Xcaret and Xel-Há, both along the coast of Riviera Maya.

With so much to offer, packing for your vacation here can be a chore. While there are certain items you’ll want to bring based on the type of trip you take, there are also Mexico packing staples you should have no matter what.

To help you pack for your next trip to Mexico, we interviewed some frequent travelers to round-up this list of must-haves. Read it here.
