For camping destinations where water from the spigot isn’t potable, this filter is an easy cleaning solution. It screws on to most exterior-threaded nozzles, and its .1-micron, hollow-fiber filter weeds out bacteria and protozoa (but not viruses, so check your destination before taking it abroad). We were able to produce 2 liters of clean water in 3 minutes at a cabin near Lanigan, Saskatchewan. The hose attachment easily fills jerrycans and reservoirs, making this device ideal for large groups. Note: Like any other hollow-fiber filter, freezing will cause the pores to expand and become useless, so keep it warm.
